For over a century, Grifols has been a global healthcare company driving advances in plasma-derived therapies and transfusion medicine. Plasma-derived therapies and medications save thousands of lives a year but can only be produced from donated human plasma. Grifols presented the challenge of unique and disparate audiences, including plasma donors, laboratory managers, and laboratory technicians.

Grifols first approached Carimus for help with donor recruitment. Our design team leveraged their existing brand in innovative ways to create print and digital assets that were recognizable yet engaging. Building on this success, we were asked to bring our development team into the project, designing, developing, and deploying a donor-facing marketing website.

As our partnership with the plasma team at Grifols grew into a constant collaboration, our work was seen by others at Grifols. We were soon approached by members of the diagnostic and corporate teams to assist in the production of digital and print assets for internal and external audiences. Time and again, our design team delivered novel material that remained true to the core Grifols brand.

Many audiences, one stage.

Expanding collaborations to include multiple teams at Grifols presented its own challenges. We were tasked with communicating very different things to very different audiences. The versatile talents of our designers and copywriters allowed us to continually deliver exciting work. Novel donor marketing approaches took the form of print, digital, radio, video, and billboard ads. Technical brochures and website copy for the diagnostic team presented precise yet engaging language and illuminating visuals. Corporate affairs productions, created for governmental and regulatory audiences, were clear and staid in their approach.

When the time came for a new direction, Grifols trusted us to develop a new value-based messaging campaign. The campaign stretched the boundaries of their brand, employing digital images, email campaigns, and video assets to revitalize tired messaging and reposition Grifols in their markets.
